Sony’s VAIO P might or might not be a netbook (or even fit in a pocket), but there’s no denying that it’s an incredibly sexy piece of hardware — it’s hard not to be immediately taken with it, at least until you see how slowly it runs Vista. (Windows 7 is a different story, obviously.) Of course, there’s a story behind the one-of-a-kind form factor and crazy 1600 x 768 screen resolution, and deisgner Takuma Tomoaki shared some choice tidbits recently in an interview with Chinese site cool3c. Of particular note, the P was inspired by the Mini Cooper, which Tomoaki called “small and sophisticated,” and the entire design was dictated by the size of the “smallest usable keyboard.” Tomoaki also stated that the insane screen res was aimed at HD movies, since it can play back 720p content natviely, and that Sony’s looking towards integrating the P with both the Walkman and PSP families — something it’s already kinda-sorta doing with the XMB interface on the machine. Plenty more quotes after the break and tons of photos at the read link, like this early VAIO TT-esque mockup that likely launched a thousand Photoshops. Read on!

We’ve seen the VAIO P’s sexy tiny case, but we’ve yet to witness the corrugated box in which it resides. Until now, obviously. As the rear pocket stuffing theme trucks on without any signs of stopping, the lucky souls over at AkihabaraNews managed to get ahold of a fully packaged model in order to totally unwrap it on camera. The full gallery’s down there in the read link — don’t pretend like you’re not heading over to check it out.

In Tsumineko Mew Mew Tower for the iPhone, “you’re stacking cats of various sizes to make the tallest tower you possibly can before they all topple over into a giant pile of meow’s.” Video after the break.

Even from afar I have the ability to identify a certain addictive quality to the game, so maybe it’s better that I don’t have an iPhone…

Created by Racer X Design, the BMW RZ-M6 “is what the current 6 series could look like, by replacing body panels, yet keeping the basic structure intact.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The modified body panels would also widen the coupe by an extra 50 mm, giving it a more aggressive stance to go along with the tribute styling.

The U-Fizz makes almost any drink fizz like soda, and all you need is: a “box of baking soda, some vinegar and a couple of soda bottles.” Available now, priced at $6.95.

That gets me thinking…I wonder what would happen if you dared to put some Diet Coke and Mentos in this contraption? Maybe the world would explode.

Northrop Grumman has unveiled a stealth bomber motorcycle that’ll be featured “at B-2 20th anniversary events throughout 2009 including social events, trade shows, and air shows.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

I’m no warmonger, nor am I a motorcycle fiend, but I have the ability to appreciate both a landmark plane with an iconic design and a lavishly expensive bike all the same.

MIT researchers have built TOFU, which “applies techniques of social expression long used by 2D animators to explore the impact on robotics.” Video after the break.

If a Large Bird bender resulted in a bumpin’ of nasties with Keepon, well, this would be the genetic result.

This nifty gadget was unveiled at Tokyo Toy Forum 2009 and “actually folds up into a automobile just like normal Transformers with a tiny Mickey Mouse peeking out at you from behind the steering wheel.”

The squeaky voiced, button-nosed, outerspace engine of destruction goes on sale in February for just 3,610 yen ($38.57).

Not your average fire hose, the Jet Spray is essentially “a hose attachment that amplifies water pressure and increases range by 30 meters.” Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on if we’ll see this in-action anytime soon. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The extra range would be helpful for aerial dispatches or from neighboring buildings - any where typical ladders can’t reach. The mechanism is quite simple, powered by a pressurized gas tank.
