9to5Mac is reporting that a unibody, 17-inch MacBook Pro will be announced at
Macworld, following in the footsteps of the previously released unibody
13 and 15-inchers. The rumor, backed up by some “whisperers” at
Macrumors, isn’t really an earth-shattering surprise — though the accompanying revelation that this model is expected to have a slim, extended-life, non-removable battery is rather eye-opening — and somewhat disappointing, considering the lameness of non-removable batteries. We’ll know for sure on Tuesday at the keynote.
Update: Apple Insider is now independently confirming the imminent arrival of the unibody 17-incher, and also corroborating the fixed internal battery theory.

According to Darren Murph, there’s “no way anyone in their right mind should get this excited about receiving a $299 game console.” Continue reading to see for yourself.
Given the completely ridiculous Wii shortage that’s still ongoing, there’s obviously no shame in being somewhat off your rocker if one shows up in a nicely wrapped box.

Using the iPhone app “Brushes”, artist David Onze created an extraordinary speed portrait showing just what lots of skill and a tiny time can accomplish. Video after the break.
While I know superior than to try my own hand at the program, it’s pretty remarkable how deftly some artists can handle the often finicky medium of the iPhone’s touch display.

At $1999 on eBay, this unique Venom sculpture “stands 8 inches tall and weighs about 2 lbs — kept in a basketball case.” Unfortunately, it lacks animatronic abilities as well as any superpowers. Auction page. Click here for first picture in gallery.
Inspiration for this figure came from the comic and the motion picture so I made a hybrid Venom. I hated how the movie stylized Venom but I loved the symbiote liquid when it was forming on the person.

Simply put, Serv O’ Beer brings the iBeer app to life. This robot interprets “a ‘pouring’ motion with an iPhone into a real, albeit foamy, beer.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.
Creator “Polymythic” used a Construx building set as his mechanical base and an ioBridge to control the system.
