Google Chrome

He goes on to speed test Chrome against Internet Explorer with local static content. Chrome is blazing at 77.28ms vs 220.64ms for IE.

VAIO Z

Joining the MacBook Air and Voodoo EnVy 133 in the ultraportable race, is Sony’s VAIO Z. It comes equipped with “with discreet NVIDIA 9300M graphics and a Blu-ray drive.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

There’s WWAN, SD and Memory Stick card readers, ExpressCard and an HDMI plug, and even the 16:9 13.1-inch screen is on the upper limit of Sony’s ultraportable heritage.

Microsoft had better hurry and get more than one Surface rig out on the market, because there are plenty of other companies working on large-format multitouch hardware — the latest is Finland’s Multitouch Oy.
