Amphibious Vehicle

How about “an RV that’s designed to drive right into a lake and keep on going”? Look no furthur than this custom creation. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Because really, is a covered RV going to be all that great of a boat? Besides seriously surprising anyone else who happens to be on the water, what’s the benefit of this?

Mini Heli

With the addition of a third R/C channel, this mini heli from ThinkGeek allows you to “control the forward motion of the copter in addition to right/left rotation and moving up/down.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Hover, move foward slowly, move forward quickly… it’s up to you. We have to state this is one of the easiest small r/c copters to control and fly… and trust us we’ve tested out dozens of different mini copters… all in the name of science of course.

HD Home Theater

Built inside a garage, Bjorn Kristensen’s HD home theater “produces an extraordinary theater experience, thanks to Bjorn’s favorite piece: the Sony VPL-VW60 projector.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

It is located at the back of the room, along with most of Bjorn’s other audio/video equipment. That way, the light from the components won’t distract viewers. The one piece that deserved front and center placement was the Infinity SW-12 subwoofer.

UnoCycle

You may have seen photos of the UnoCycle by Ben Gulak, but now we’ve got a video showing the prototype car in action. Continue reading to watch. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Still in development, the Uno’s top speed is 15 mph, but the inventor, Ben Gulak, suspects it could go as high as 40. That’s no Harley, but it’s faster than a Segway, and remember this is a battery-powered machine that you never need to fill up.

Modern Chess Set

Designed by Yasmin Sethi, this modern chess set “features pieces that ‘magically turn transparent’ when they touch the board.” No word yet on pricing or availability. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The effect works thanks to a board made out of a glass material with embedded LEDs (LightPoints) and chess pieces made from clear glass with the negative shape of a traditional, delicate Staunton chess piece enclosed within it.

Quantum of Solace

Activision’s Quantum of Solace looks like “your standard FPS with 3rd person elements in which you play as a 3D model that bears a creepy resemblance to Daniel Craig.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

Aside from Craig’s plastic mug, nothing much standing out here, though with EA leaving the bar set so low, average is actually a step up.
