HTC introduces a new Smartphone: the HTC Touch Pro. At 18.05mm, it features a 2.8-inch display, 3.2-megapixel camera, 288MB RAM, Wi-Fi, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, a full QWERTY keypad, and a slider design. Available later this year — no word on pricing. Click here for first picture in gallery.
The first batch of devices will be Europe-bound in “late summer” with 900 / 2100MHz 3G alongside the quadband GSM and EDGE; North and Latin American versions are promised for later in the year.

If you’re looking for a digital ring that warns “of impending danger from out of sight sources”, look no further than the “Vibering”. This system is to “be worn on both hands and are the ears that not only listen for sounds emanating from behind, they also determine distance, position and vibrate according to source.” No word yet on availability. The wristwatch aspect, identifies the sound wave and present this info to the wearer in an simple to read display. The watch is programmed to listen for certain key phrases from humans like “Excuse Me..”, your name being called and any number of automobile noises including the most important one, a car’s horn.

So, it’s only fitting that Edmunds “rounded up three economy sedans: the two best-selling models (Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic) and the one they think about to be the ideal (Mazda 3)” for a comparison. If you’re looking for a small, inexpensive sporty vehicle, the Mazda3 is your ideal choice. The Corolla would be your ideal choice if you are simply looking for a comfortable driving car. If you’ve small kids, probably the Civic would be best.

Hybrid Technologies unveils an all electric supercar that boasts a 150-170 mile range, along with “a gasoline-electric hybrid that aims to capture the Automotive X Prize by managing at least 220 mpg.” No word yet on pricing or availability. Click here for one more picture.
And that’s not to mention performance. When we asked Cerven if Hybrid Technologies could hit ZR1-level horsepower equivalent numbers in the mid-600s, he laughed, vaguely adding that we were “way out of the ballparkits gonna be wild.”
