After giving the new IdeaPad U110 its 15 minutes of fame in front of the camera, we got down to business. The 11.1-inch ultraportable is built like a tank — a really, really lightweight tank. The uniquely-designed lid and (overly) glossy motif is a welcome change for Lenovo, but after a good bit of use, it’s easy to see this one won’t appeal to the masses. The NOVA 3D LED light display consists of 25,000 suspended lights, with each bulb containing 12 LEDs that run at 25fps. Video demonstration after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

Electropolishing is simply an “electrochemical process that removes material from a metallic workpiece.” Video after the break.

It is used for to polish, passivate and deburr metal parts. It is the often described as the reverse of electroplating. Electropolishing has many applications in the metal finishing industry because of its simplicity and it can be applied to objects of complex shape.

To commemorate Carroll Shelby’s 85th birthday, Shelby Distribution USA will be releasing a “near-exact replication of the original [GT40] race car’s monocoque unibody structure down to the pressed steel roof.” It will come equipped with a Shelby 427FE V8 engine. The Shelby 85th Commemorative GT40 features an original style fully independent suspension system utilizing an unequal length A-arm design. The coilover system utilizes H&R springs and Bilstein shocks that are fully adjustable as well as the front and rear anti-roll bars. Ride height can be changed from 4.125 to 4.75 inches

The FluxPC concept essentially “revolves around a wearable bracelet, which interfaces wirelessly with a portable display.” That’s not all, the “system can [also] interface wirelessly with a portable display or other computers.” Click here for first picture in gallery.

The bracelet holds the users personal and valued digital information while the display incorporates a larger viewing area and multimedia devices. The display is needed for instances when up-scaled viewing and interfacing is needed.
